G-STEM Scholar Application Process

Admission into the G-STEM Program as a G-STEM Scholar is a competitive process. Students must demonstrate maturity and the ability to meet G-STEM Scholar Expectations.

  • Meet with the G-STEM director or assistant director for Study Abroad to determine if you meet the G-STEM requirements.
  • Review the available G-STEM Research Opportunities
  • Submit the G-STEM Preliminary Application for Department Chair approval
  • With the department chair's approval, submit the G-STEM Application with supporting documentation:
    • G-STEM program application
    • Statement of purpose
    • Two letters of recommendation from a faculty member
    • A copy of college transcript
    • Copy of CV or resume, passport) by the program deadline (Feb. 1 for summer and fall travel; Oct. 1 for spring travel)
  • Apply to and be accepted by your selected research program (i.e., Arcadia, CIEE, SIT)
  • Agree to the G-STEM Scholar Expectations
Submit Your Application Materials On Time. Incomplete and late applications will not be considered. The G-STEM Internal Advisory Committee makes the final determination on student admission into the G-STEM Program as a G-STEM Scholar, and their decision is communicated to the applicant via e-mail.
