Focus on Career Assessment

The Focus 2 Career site will provide useful information to you as you explore your personal and career interests. The instructions below will guide you in creating an account and making use of the tools within the site.

Create Your Focus 2 Career Account

First-time users should follow the link to create a new account.

  • Focus 2 Career Portal
  • Your Access Code: blue
  • Your Classification: Class of [insert YOUR classification in YYYY format]
  • Create a Username and Password

Complete Your Self Assessment

Once your registration is complete, you will be re-directed to the Main Menu, where you should select the Self Assessment link. For the best and most complete results, you should complete all five self-assessments - Work Interest, Personality, Skill, Values and Leisure Interest.

View Your Career Choices

After completing all five surveys, go back to the Self Assessment section on the Main Menu page and select Narrow and Refine Your Results See Your Top Career Choices. A list of occupations (opportunities) will be generated for you based on your combined survey results.

  • To obtain profiles on these opportunities, go to the section titled, "Explore the Possibilities."
  • Select "Search by Name." You are now able to research each opportunity by its exact name, or by alphabet. As you review each job profile, be sure to refer to the "MENU" box on the left-hand side of the page for additional information that may be available about the occupation.
  • You also have the option of viewing occupations associated with a particular college major that might be of interest to you.
  1. Return to Explore the Possibilities
  2. Select What Can I Do With A Major In …?
  3. Select major of interest to view possible occupations
  4. Select occupations to view profiles

Please note that the Focus Assessment is located on a secured website, and the instructions to access it should only be used by the original invitation recipient. Please do not forward or share access to the Focus Assessment with anyone else. Sessions for unauthorized users will be discontinued without notice.
