The Traditional vs. The New

The Traditional

We have a new website and new colors, but some things will not change:
  • The College Motto - "Our Whole School for Christ"
  • The College Tagline - "A Choice to Change the World"
  • The College Seal - Used only for commencement and official Spelman College documents

The New

Full Palette of Colors

Color Philosophy - All the colors are designed to work with one another while anchoring to one or more of the triad of primary blues. Begin with blue. Whether it’s the trademark Spelman light blue (PMS 283C) or one of the other two hues, begin with a base of blue and build outward.

Spelman.edu History

The Evolution of Spelman.edu

The previous website was designed and developed in 2012, with a homepage refresh in 2017. While the site was innovative when launched, it became clear that one of the College's primary assets needed improvement.
