A Spanish major is a combination of literary, linguistic and cultural coursework. This major will prepare students for professional careers in writing, inernational relations, interpretation, translation, business development management, journalism, social work, advertisement, customer support, education, hospitality, healthcare, and more.

Spanish major students may complete the Service Learning while abroad or at Spelman requirement with summer or semester abroad programs:
First summer abroad: 303 or 306 (+1 credit for service learning)
Second summer abroad: 351 or 352 or 353 or 354 (+1 credit for service learning) (5 credits each Summer)
Semester abroad: 2 courses at 350 or 450 level (language courses 303, 306, 306 must be taken at Spelman) (8 Credits Total)
