Bringing activism back home to the States, Spelman students support American troops through the organization Saluting Our Armed Services (S.A.S.). The group supports students in military life and honors Spelman women with careers in military service.
S.A.S. engages in service projects that support service members and their families, connect with veteran service organizations like the American Legion, and participate in campus activities that support and honor service members, like Remembrance Day. S.A.S also educates the student body regarding the experiences of service members and their families.
