A Message From Our Vice Provost for Research: Tasha R. Inniss, Ph.D.
On behalf of ORIC and the Office of Government and Community Relations, I wanted to express our gratitude to those who were able to attend and interact with the SBE AD and Program Officers. It is a rare opportunity for the Assistant Director of an NSF Directorate to visit an institution and for individuals to have the opportunity to pitch their ideas and receive feedback on the spot from program officers! In addition, we had representatives from Senator Ossoff's office who attended.

We are grateful to both the student and faculty presenters from the Division of Social Sciences and Education. A very special thanks to Brandi Taylor for organizing the student poster showcase and Dr. Tinaz Pavri for moderating the faculty panel, which included faculty pictured below, and Dr. Angelino Viceisza, who was virtual. In case you were not able to attend and are very interested in what was presented, please visit the Research and Creative Pursuits Sharepoint for the slide deck from Dr. Kaye Husbands Fealing. Some of the highlights, Dr. Fealing indicated the NSF and SBE priorities that require expertise from the social sciences, humanities, and natural sciences. See below for a listing of these priorities.

If you are interested in pursuing a funding opportunity, please consider the Build and Broaden program. Remember to complete the Intent to Submit form before you begin proposal development and the Cayuse form for proposal routing/approval after meeting with an appropriate team member in ORIC's Research Development and Sponsored Programs Unit or the Foundation Relations Office.
