Spelman College Student Ambassadors are exemplary students who represent Spelman at various special events and visit days throughout the year. These student ambassadors serve as hostesses and volunteers who also support the Office of Admissions through various activities related to recruiting prospective students and welcoming guests to campus.

In addition, they provide an abundant amount of information to visitors and acquaint prospective students and guests about the campus in the most positive spirit.

Spelman College Student Ambassadors FAQ

What Are Ambassadors' Duties?

Student Ambassadors are responsible for conducting tours and virtual information sessions, familiarizing prospective students and guests with campus services, activities, building locations, history, traditions, and the overall Spelman experience. They also provide general assistance prior to and during our campus programs: A Day in Your Life at Spelman, Junior Preview Day, Take Spelman Home, Spelbound, and several other events hosted by the Office of Admissions.

How Do You Become an Ambassador?

If you consider yourself a personable person who is passionate about sharing your Spelman experience with others, you may be the perfect fit to join our team! If you are interested in applying to be a part of our program, you would need to complete an official online application and go through an interview process. Ambassador applications will become available on this page in November 2024. There is a minimum requirement of a 3.0 GPA and you should be able to walk the entire Spelman campus. Additional details will follow via email.
