Refunds will not be offered once the official class start date has occurred.

Under what conditions could I receive my tuition refund?

If the course is canceled by the College and you have paid the tuition for the course, you will be refunded.

If you drop the class before the class start date, you can get a full refund.

Who is eligible for summer financial aid?

Spelman's Office of Financial Aid will be processing aid for the summer 2023 term in the form of Pell Grant, Parent PLUS loans, and/or HOPE/Zell Miller Scholarship (Georgia Residents Only) – we do not encourage Parent PLUS Loans for the summer because we do not want to have parent’s debt increased. The amount awarded will be determined after you have everything in place and have registered for class/classes.

If you are eligible for Pell Grant for the 2324 school year, you may be eligible for a portion of Pell to go towards your summer fees. If you are enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours, Parents may also apply for the parent plus loan.

If you have additional questions, students may contact their financial aid advisor according to their last name. Visit the Financial Aid webpage to find out the contact information.
