Each semester, eligible students are required to notify the Office of the Registrar that they intend to use their VA benefits. If there are no changes in your benefits, you may complete the following steps. For any changes in your benefits, please complete STEP 3, listed within the “Initiating VA Benefits at Spelman College” section.

STEP 1: Register for Classes- You must register for classes before our office can certify you with the VA. Ensure that all courses lead to your declared program of study and are not repeated courses.

STEP 2: Submit VA Benefits Recertification Request Form- Failure to submit the recertification request form will significantly delay your VA benefits for the upcoming term. Please only submit the form once.
