Individuals interested in one of the above must enroll in the Survey of Beauty and Cosmetics (COS212) in Fall 2024.
Additional information regarding Cosmetics-related Tracks:
The Chemistry Major BS—Cosmetic Chemistry concentration is available for individuals who, in Fall 2024, are incoming first-year and rising second—and third-year students.
Only students whose major does not require the general and organic chemistry course sequence can minor in cosmetic science.
The Cosmetic Chemistry minor was designed for students whose major requires the general and organic chemistry course sequence.
Computer and Information Science (CIS) majors can select the CIS + X option and utilize the cosmetic science minor course sequence for the CIS + Cosmetics track. The CIS Department Chair must advise individuals.
Health Sciences major can select Health Sciences Option 2 with Cosmetic Chemistry using the courses outlined in the course sequence. Students must be advised by a Health Sciences advisor.
