Japan Studies Study Abroad Opportunities at Spelman College

Programs

Summer Study Program


A four-week intensive summer study program offered at Josai International University in Togane, Japan, from mid-May to mid-June. Students will take one Japanese language course, one Japanese culture course and earn eight credits. A limited number of scholarships are available.

Spelman-Tsuda Student Exchange Program


An opportunity to study for one semester or one year at Tsuda College in Tokyo, Japan. Students have a rare opportunity to immerse themselves in Japanese culture and language through living and studying at this world-renowned Japanese college. This program is highly recommended for students majoring in the humanities, social sciences, or computer science.

Spelman-Fukuoka Student Exchange Program


An opportunity to study for one semester at Fukuoka Women’s University in Fukuoka, Japan. Students have a rare opportunity to immerse themselves in Japanese culture and language through living and studying at this world-renowned Japanese university.
