TITLE IX TIMES Presents Shifting the Atmosphere
April is sexual assault awareness month. Denim and its meaning: Denim Day, part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), began as a protest in 1998 against an Italian court’s ruling that overturned a rape conviction, claiming the victim’s tight jeans implied consent. In response, women wore jeans to show solidarity with survivors and challenge victim-blaming. The protest grew globally, and now Denim Day is observed every April 30, to raise awareness about sexual assault, support survivors, and combat victim-blaming. Join us in wearing denim and your Denim Day t-shirt on April 30, to promote sexual violence awareness and prevention.
The VP and I Program presents "Studying Under the Stars." Prepare for finals with us as we gaze at the stars in tents for a relaxing evening in nature. This is an overnight experience from May 3 - 4! More details coming soon!
