Get ready to relive the magic and memories of your Spelman College days at this year's Homecoming! Whether you're a current student, proud alumnae, Morehouse brother or friend, this weekend is designed for everyone to come together and celebrate our campus culture and continued growth. From the excitement of the big game to the tradition of walking down tailgate row, and of course, the unforgettable museum day party, we’ve got an incredible lineup of events planned.

Sunday, October 20

Let’s start the Homecoming celebration in our beloved Sisters Chapel with a word from Rev. Cassandra A. Henderson, C’2004, who serves as the executive director of the Interfaith Children’s Movement (ICM).

Thursday, October 24

Calling all Diamond Daughters and Golden Girls from the class of 1975. Join us for refreshing beverages and light snacks while you reminisce about your time at Spelman.

Join us for our opening panel discussion highlighting careers focused in the arts, entertainment and culture.

This year’s summit will focus on the arts and entertainment industries. Our goal is to expose current students and alumnae to industry experts through career networking, internship opportunities, and to create a pipeline for entry level positions in the arts and entertainment industry.

Friday, October 25

Check in for Homecoming 2024, receive your signature souvenir (while supplies last), and make your annual gift.

Enjoy music, vendors and the opportunity to network with your Spelman sisters.

The Spelman Museum opens its doors to alumni of Spelman College and Morehouse College for it’s annual homecoming gathering. Come view the exhibition Ming Smith: Feeling the Future and enjoy music and refreshments in the lobby.

Saturday, October 26

Spelman Alumnae Tailgate Experience | TWO LOCATIONS

Join us at the Alumnae Tailgate Experience, where lifelong memories and the spirit of sisterhood come alive in a joyous celebration of Homecoming 2024.

Engagement Zone – Lee Street Parking Lot

Step into the lively atmosphere of the Engagement Zone located at the Lee Street parking lot. Start your journey by visiting the Welcome Home Alumnae Check-In Tent, where you’ll be warmly greeted and receive a coveted signature souvenir (while supplies last). While there, take the opportunity to make your annual gift to support Spelman College and capture the unforgettable moments of Homecoming 2024 in our photo booth, mingle with your cherished Spelman sisters, and reminisce to the soundtrack our DJ provides.

Sensory and Family Friendly Zone -- Spelman College Amphitheater

Join us at the Family Friendly Zone at the Amphitheater, where the fun extends to every member of your family. Begin your adventure by visiting the Welcome Home Alumnae Check-In Tent, where you’ll be greeted with warmth and receive a special signature souvenir (while supplies last). Make your annual gift to contribute to Spelman College’s ongoing success and capture the joyful memories of Homecoming 2024 in our fantastic photo booth.

Engage in an array of exciting activities that cater to all ages, including a thrilling Gaming Truck with unlimited games, giant-sized lawn board games that promise laughter and friendly competition, engaging crafts to unleash your creativity, and the opportunity to witness the magic of balloon animals coming to life. And of course, don’t forget to indulge in delectable food, mingle with your beloved Spelman sisters, and dance your heart out to celebrate your return home.

Before we depart our home -- Spelman College, let us come together and share in a message from Reverend Jessica N. Bass, C’2016, who serves as director of pastoral care and counseling at New Creation Christian Fellowship in San Antonio, Texas. Let’s thank God for our time of celebration and fellowship.
