Reflections from ...

33435147038_2efa0767a3_z Joey Womack, Founder/CEO, Amplify 4 Good:
“The Spelman 10 Day Startup Challenge was the perfect platform to show the student's talent, leadership, and creativity. I've produced many competitions, and these startups are on par with some of the best in the country. I look forward to seeing moving forward how Spelman combines the students' interest in media, entertainment, fashion, and beauty with emerging tech to begin producing subject-matter experts and rising superstars.”

Sonya C. Rush, Independent Consultant:
“I am so proud of the students for their achievement. While the competition is 10 days, fast-paced and intense, these students were passionate in learning and developing viable solutions to real problems. I hope they will continue to pursue their solutions because this competition is just the beginning of their entrepreneurial journey. Spelpreneur is an opportunity to satisfy the interest of Spelman students seeking an introduction to the knowledge and practice of entrepreneurship and innovation… nearly 95% of the competition’s participants were 1st time participants in Spelpreneur.”

Jane Smith, Ed.D, Vice President of College Relations and Executive Director of the Leadership Center at Spelman College: "This year's competition was great! I had a chance to see the participating students the first day of the competition and to observe on Pitch Night their growth as aspiring entrepreneurs. The Spelpreneur program, a co-curricular program, meets the desires of students who want to learn to be leaders in innovation and  entrepreneurship."
