I am a data-driven scholar-practitioner with over 10 years of experience in higher education. Prior to coming to Spelman I served as director of fraternity and sorority life, undergraduate student life at Columbia University.
I develop welcoming and inclusive communities to enhance the undergraduate student experience and provide consultation to organizations interested in sourcing, recruiting, and engaging those from diverse backgrounds and populations. I have a proven track record of success in DEI project management, learning and development initiatives, and team management within university settings.
As a life-long learner, I recently completed a third Master's Degree in Sociology at Columbia University, where I conducted an original research project on diversity management practices and their impact on increasing Black representation. I've also conducted research on sexual harassment and assault on college campuses and in the workplace. I leverage my background in Higher Education and Sociology to better understand and break down systemic barriers that exist in today's ever-changing society through education, policies, and initiatives.
In my spare time, I enjoy trying new recipes, exploring different cities, and exercising on my Peloton bike.
