Suneye Rae Holmes, C’2004, is a Senior Instructor of Economics and doctoral student at the Georgia Institute of Technology’s School of Economics. She has served the Spelman community as faculty for six years, curating curricula in Math Economics, Health Economics, Principals of Macroeconomics, several courses for the Interdisciplinary Big Questions Colloquium (IBQC), and Matrix Algebra. Professor Holmes operates a Sloan-funded summer research lab for incoming first-year economics scholars, teaching them statistical coding and fundamental research methodology in health and environmental issues. Originally from Texas, she enjoys reading, art, and hiking when not in the classroom.
