As your associate vice president for Student Affairs, I oversee the following departments: The Wellness Center, Health Services, Spiritual Life, and the Student Access Center. My main objective is to assist in removing any barriers to your success while you are at Spelman College. Together, there is nothing that we cannot accomplish. If I can be of any assistance to you, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
Prior to my appointment at Spelman I served as assistant vice president and dean of students at Valdosta State, the first African American to ever hold that post. I graduated from Morehouse College with a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy. I later earned my Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Massachusetts School of Law at Dartmouth. I am very passionate about the student experience and development and have served as a thought leader on issues related to Title IX, Student Conduct and Equity.
