As your associate vice president for Student Affairs, Daryl Lowe, J.D. oversees the following departments:The Wellness Center, Health Services, Spiritual Life, and the Student Access Center. His main objective is to assist in removing any barriers to students' success while they are at Spelman College. Together, there is nothing that they cannot accomplish.
If he can be of any assistance to them, they should not hesitate to reach out to him. Prior to his appointment at Spelman, he served as assistant vice president and dean of students at Valdosta State, the first African American to ever hold that post. He graduated from Morehouse College with a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy.He later earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Massachusetts School of Law at Dartmouth. He is very passionate about the student experience and development and has served as a thought leader on issues related to Title IX, Student Conduct, and Equity.
