What health disparity are you interested in solving and why?
The health disparity I am passionate about solving is the high prevalence of untreated dental issues among children in disadvantaged communities. Factors such as dental anxiety, early tooth decay, sensitive teeth, and poor oral hygiene habits often affect children and can lead to serious oral health issues as they age. These issues, if left unaddressed, can cause pain and impact overall health. I aim to address this disparity by increasing access to affordable pediatric dental care and educating children about healthy oral habits. By instilling good practices they can develop and carry into adulthood, I hope to empower them to maintain strong oral health throughout their lives.
