What health disparity are you interested in solving and why?
I'm deeply passionate about addressing disparities in maternal and fetal health, particularly in low-resource settings worldwide. During my time studying abroad in Cape Town, I saw firsthand the challenges that many women face in accessing quality prenatal and postnatal care. Witnessing these disparities made me realize how preventable complications like preeclampsia, hemorrhage, and infection can become life-threatening without the right support. This experience inspired me to focus on improving maternal and infant outcomes globally, especially in areas where women are at a higher risk due to limited healthcare infrastructure. I believe that every woman deserves a safe and healthy pregnancy, and I want to help make that a reality through advocacy, and hands-on work.
