Gabrielle Adams is a dynamic leader, scholar, and mentor at Spelman College, dedicated to enhancing the student experience through advocacy, business preparation, and community empowerment. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Adams is an Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society member and a recipient of the CBE Entrepreneurship Scholarship and Spelman College Partial Academic Scholarship.
Adams chose Spelman College for its rich history of empowering Black women and its commitment to academic excellence. She was drawn to the institution’s legacy of leadership and its emphasis on community engagement, which aligns with her passion for mentorship and advocacy.
Beyond her SGA involvement, Adams serves as the Chief Events Director for the Future Business Leaders of Spelman (FBLS). Through this role, she curates essential programming to equip students with vital skills for corporate America and the business world, particularly benefiting those who may not have a business degree. Her efforts ensure that students are well-prepared to navigate their professional careers successfully.
Adams is also an AltFinance Fellow, a prestigious initiative to provide HBCU students with exposure, mentorship, and hands-on experience in alternative investments. After her first year at Spelman, she completed a commercial real estate internship with Project Destined, where she gained training in real estate fundamentals, property valuation, and financial modeling.
Adams is preparing for a career in financial services or commercial real estate, particularly in alternative finance. She will be interning at Apollo Global Management in Client Product Solutions this summer, gaining valuable industry experience in wealth management and investment solutions. Previously, she participated in the Artemis Real Estate Group Summer Immersion Program, where she received training in critical real estate concepts, Wall Street Prep Excel Modeling, and site evaluations. She also interned with Free People, gaining experience in marketing, public relations, and content development.
Additionally, adams is deeply committed to giving back to her community in Philadelphia and Atlanta. She actively volunteers at Broad Street Love, her local Germantown community, and her high school, Springside Chestnut Hill Academy. She consistently returns to mentor and encourage students to consider attending Spelman while assisting and mentoring Pre-K through 4th graders. Additionally, she mentors students at local Atlanta high schools through the on-campus organization Collegiate 100 and volunteers at the Atlanta Women’s Shelter, further solidifying her dedication to uplifting and supporting her communities.
Outside of her professional and academic endeavors, Adams is passionate about empowering young women through content creation focused on HBCU life, self-care, and personal development. Her handles are @gabriellekkezia on Instagram and @gabriellekezia on Tiktok. She has collaborated with brands such as Liquid I.V., Sol de Janeiro, and Shea Moisture to host on-campus events that promote wellness and self-improvement. Her brand partnerships also include Home Depot’s HBCU Retool Your School campaign, Carol’s Daughter HBCU Homecoming Campaign, The Lip Bar, Kendra Scott, and Fabletics, further amplifying her influence in fostering empowerment and self-care within the HBCU community.
Looking ahead, Adams hopes to create more discussions around generational wealth, investing, and financial literacy. She is particularly passionate about addressing housing insecurity in the Atlanta University Center (AUC) by developing student housing solutions that support the broader AUC community while simultaneously investing in the West End community. Through her dedication to finance, real estate, and community development, Gabrielle aims to build a legacy of empowerment and economic advancement for future generations.
