Zanyah Williams, C’2025 - LINCS Scholar

Zanyah Williams, Class of 2025 | Spelman College

Zanyah Williams is a junior environmental science and sociology double major from Burlington, NC. On campus, Zanyah serves as a Spelman College Social Justice Fellow, a RISE Development Scholar, a Sustainable Spelman Intern, and a LINCS Scholar. She has received the honor of joining the Ethel Waddell Githii Honors Program, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, National Society of Leadership and Success, and Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society.

Zanyah is currently an undergraduate researcher in the NASA Undergraduate Leadership Initiative (ULI) program studying global aviation equity. This summer, Zanyah will work as a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Pathways Intern reviewing documents collected as the result of Lead-Based Paint (LBP) inspections/investigations.

Upon graduation, she aspires to continue her studies and earn a doctoral degree in an interdisciplinary environmental field. This course of study aligns with her advocacy for environmental justice and passion for serving marginalized communities affected by environmental issues.
