Sydney Payne is a Senior, Mathematics major on a pre-medical track from Alexandria, VA. She is an honored member of Pi Mu Epsilon Mathematics Society at Spelman College and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Sydney is a devoted member of the Spelman College LINCS Program, the Health Careers Program, the Minority Associates of Pre-Medical Student Program, and the Eta Kappa Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
Sydney is also a student researcher with the Spelman College Biology department. She volunteers in the metropolitan Atlanta area and in Virginia, tutoring underprivileged children in STEM courses. Her future goals after graduating with honors from Spelman are dedicated to giving back to her community in serving underrepresented people through her health care services as a practicing physician.
