Maya Blasingame, C'2023 - LINCS Scholar

Maya Blasingame, Class of 2023 | Spelman College

Maya Blasingame is a graduating Senior, Biology major on the pre-medical track. She is a member of the Ethel Waddell Githii Honors Program, the Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society and Beta Beta Beta Biological honors Society.

She has the honor of being a member of the Department of Defense Academic Scholars Program, Spelman College LINCS Program, and Morehouse School of Medicine Undergraduate Health Sciences Academy Scholar. Maya is also a student researcher with the Spelman Biology department and co-authored their work in the Publication in Nature.

Maya is a dedicated member of the Spelman College Minority Association for Pre-Medical Students, Student Ambassadors, and the Lady Buds Mentoring Program. Maya is a member of the “Sweet” Mu Pi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She also serves as a Co-communication Chair for The Blue Record Podcast and is an intern for the awarding winning podcast, “In Those Genes”. In the fall, Maya will be attending medical school. She hopes to not only practice as a physician but to serve underrepresented populations and advocate for those who are not always seen and heard within medicine.
