Kyndal, a rising junior majoring in economics with a minor in computer science, hails from Minneapolis, MN, but currently calls Birmingham, AL home. Her current research focuses on Standards Based Grading in college-level precalculus classes and its effects on student retention, achievement, and agency.
During the summer of 2023, Kyndal served as a Computer Aided Drug Discovery Intern at Southern Research, where she utilized Python to enhance the drug discovery process.
In the upcoming summer of 2024, she plans to intern at Alabama Power as a Data Science Intern. Beyond her academic pursuits, Kyndal is actively involved in the SpelReads Program, serves as a Spelman Ambassador, is a member of the Miss Spelman Advisory Board, and holds the position of Secretary for Pretty Girls Sweat’s Spelman College Chapter. Post-graduation from Spelman, she aspires to pursue a Master's in Data Science and embark on a career as a Data Scientist.
