Janiya Richardson, Class of 2026 | Spelman College

Janiya Richardson is a third-year computer science and engineering student from Tallahassee, Florida and in the dual degree engineering program pursuing her bachelor's degree in computer science at Spelman College and her bachelor's degree in computer engineering at Georgia Tech.

On campus, she serves as a member of the Spelman College programming team, Co-Captain of SpelBots, Spelman College’s chapter of the Society of Women Engineers, and AUC’s chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers. Upon graduation, she intends to pursue a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics and develop new applications of artificial intelligence software and robots.
