Love Lundy is a seasoned senior graduating in December of 2024. Entering in the fall of 2020, Love’s academic career at Spelman has been encapsulated by the praxis of food studies since her start as a scholar in 2021. She has also served as the community service and seminar development committee chairs of the “Exceptional” Epsilon Eta Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated. After Spelman, Love will pursue a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and continue to work towards food justice and sovereignty.

“Spelman College's Food Studies Program, the first interdisciplinary food studies program at an Historically Black College and University, engages students in an innovative exploration of food interdisciplinarity and centers its connectivity to the African Diaspora, intersectionality, and food science. It is our hope that our food scholars will find the needed community, scholarship, and professional opportunities through the program to approach some of these pressing global and local food challenges.
