Nia Page is a senior international studies major with a concentration in global development at Spelman College, and serves as the 78th President of the Spelman Student Government Association. The Cincinnati, Ohio native also served as First Year Class Council vice president, Sophomore Class Council president and SSGA secretary of academic affairs.

In November 2019, Page was selected to participate in a round table discussion with Former First Lady Michelle Obama who discussed her book, "Becoming," and her journey of service and leadership. During her junior year, Page interned for Congressman John Lewis is his district office in Atlanta, Georgia; and in the summer of 2018, she interned for Congressman Elijah Cummings in his Capitol Hill office in Washington, D.C.

Heavily involved in multiple aspects of campus life and scholarship, Page is a former Spelman Women in Spiritual Discernment of Ministry (WISDOM) Scholar, an interfaith living and learning program which afforded her the opportunity to explore spirituality and the intersectionality of faith with gender and ethnicity. She was also president of Spelman's Pre-Alumnae Council, and engaged Spelman students and alumnae in philanthropic initiatives; and served as the former Miss UNCF Spelman College, where she represented the institution at the United Negro College Fund conference and pageant.

Global Experiences

Page has participated in a number of programs that have encouraged her passion for international affairs and government operations. Most recently, she spent the summer of 2019 interning for The Boeing Company's international finance division in Seattle, Washington. In 2018, she participated in a two-week summer intensive program in Barcelona, Spain through Spelman College's CIEE Language and Culture Program;  and last March, she participated in the World Model United Nation Conference with Spelman’s Model United Nations team in Madrid, Spain. During the summer of 2016, Page taught in Hangzhou, China as a foreign language instructor at Entel Foreign Language School.

Upon graduation, Page plans to work in government relations or international finance for a corporation and ultimately obtaining her Juris Doctor degree.
