Patrisha Hedgemond Takes Cultural Cosmetics to New Heights

Spelpreneurs Patrisha HedgemondWomen's Studies major Patrisha Hedgemond, C’2018, founder and owner of Cultural Cosmetics Inc., an all-natural; lead free, gluten free, paraben free and animal friendly cosmetic brand made with natural oils and minerals, has been turning heads with her new company. The young CEO also joined a panel of seasoned entrepreneurs earlier this year to kick off the College's Spelpreneur series.

Raised by two passionate parents who taught her to strive for the best and never settle for less, Hedgemond, who has a passion for creating styles and unique looks, was inspired to launch her own company in 2013 at the age of 17. Today, the 21-year old has expanded her offerings to include a successful cosmetic line called Cultural Cosmetics Inc.  Her hard work and dedication to succeed has afforded her an opportunity to meet former President of The United States, Barack Obama, work with Dress Barn Fashions, and showcase her brand alongside celebrity guests at the Atlanta Ultimate Women’s EXPO. 

Hedgemond, a management organization minor, was also named Young Professional of the Year for SCORE Miami-Dade in 2016 and has been featured in ESSENCE Magazine as one of the top e-commerce businesses to shop. Successful in business and in the classroom, the Florida native is actively involved in many extra-curricular activities on campus where she serves as social media director for Beyond Curves and vice president of the Morehouse Business Association CEO Club.
