The Division of Student Affairs extends a warm and sincere invitation from our college family to yours. Our annual Family Weekend, a fun-filled and informative three-day celebration, brings together mothers, fathers and others who have entrusted Spelman College with the worthy charge of educating their daughters.

As we reflect on our legacy of academic excellence, we acknowledge the formidable role families continue to play as our students’ first teachers. Through our collaborative efforts, Spelmanites will be fully equipped to successfully navigate the journey from adolescence to adulthood.

Celebrating Family Weekend during Black History Month helps us to reflect further on our cultural legacy of excellence and inspires us to continue to develop new and inclusive leadership paradigms that can substantially improve our global world. Family Weekend 2008: Fulfilling Great Expectations, is an annual celebration that honors this significant inheritance. Please join us for exciting sessions, a heart pounding rivalry basketball game, history of Black Atlanta tour, and much, much more!

The schedule for Family Weekend is tentative. Please note that updates will be posted to the Spelman College Web site on a regular basis. The Web site will provide updates to the schedule; answer frequently asked questions, and offer online registration.
