Spelman Celebrates the Life and Legacy of Alumna Mignon Lewis, C'51
It is with great sadness that the College announces the passing of Mrs. Mignon Lackey Lewis, C'51. Mrs. Lewis, a retired educator, was a pillar of her community and dedicated alumna.
Mrs. Lewis was indeed an incredible spirit immensely influential on all of us: staff, faculty, students, alumnae and friends of the College. Her giant presence in the Spelman family will be greatly missed. Please remember to keep the Lewis family in your thoughts during this most difficult time of bereavement.
A memorial service for Mrs. Lewis took place on Friday, June 27, in Sisters Chapel.
Our deepest condolences are extended to her family and friends.
